Folks. This group is about making connections and communicating. Post your thoughts. Promote your charity events. Help people with advice and recommendations. Ask for advice and recommendations. And give your business a plug. BUT giving your business a plug doesnt mean just bumping the same message over and over. Or posting a special offer every few hours. Alll you are doing is interruption or broadcast marketing. And it doesnt work. At first, a reader will see your post - but the timing may not be right to take you up on your product or service. Then they see it again and again. At this point - it is annoying. And finally, as they have seen it so often they block it out. In the meantime, the quality of the engagement within the Group drops - and, frankly, not only are you not finding new customers you are damaging your brand. Social Media is about conversation. If you are an active member of the Group, join in on convos, post interesting tid bits, support others, when they do need your product or service you have built a relationship.
