Folks, as you might have noticed, lately I have been posting a lot of political comments. Believe you me, I hate posting political views; I would rather talk about films, TV shows, food, comics, sports, music and performing arts, endlessly. This is because when I get into my political mode, I start noticing little things which start botheting me. My heart genuinely bleeds for the neverending war in Gaza, hence my post about humanity, those were my genuine feelings. It melts my heart to see the unity between people from all over the world who protest against the atrocities being committed in the Israel-Palestine conflict. But at the same time, it boggles my mind when I dont see the same fervour and emotions when it comes to 100s and 1000s of Muslims getting slaughtered in Syria, Iraq and Pakistan. Its simply amazing how nobody has mentioned ISIS and its acts of brutality (hell, even youngsters from England have joined the faction to hunt down and slaughter Shia Muslims in Iraq). Is all the aforementioned generally ignored because: Muslim on Muslim violence is considered a forgivable transgression? Is the death of a Muslim only Earth shattering when he/ she is killed by a Jew? Are the lives of Syrians, Iraqis and Pakistanis not as valuable? Or is just fashionable to protest against the Gaza conflict? And whilst we are at it, why dont any of my knowledgable friends ever talk about the plight of non-Muslim minorities in Pakistan? Why this an elephant in the room? Also the people who are criticising the West for not getting involved in Gaza...arent these the same people who were criticising the West for getting involved in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan? Folks trust me I am by no means undermining the heartbreaking slaughter in the Gaza conflict nor am I trying to offend anyone; I am sincerely sorry if I have. I am just trying to get to the bottom of peoples rather bizarre selective nature. This will turn into another debate, (where nobody will be right and nobody will be wrong) and this is gonna be my last political comment. I pray for Gaza and all the innocents that have died, from the bottom of my heart!
