Folks dont miss the chance. Prepare your children to be grown. Teach them, make sure they can face what life brings. Dont live in la la land thinking all pitches are peaches. Once your children are up and on their own, things are going to happen. Hard things. Ryan Langley only 29 years old has faced it all. I first knew him as a young man, happily married to his high school sweetie. Out in the working world, paying his way, going fishing, adopting babies, building a good future. He was happy, smart and good. A good man, a torch carrier for all the right reasons. He was everything a parent, wife and children, and employer could ask for. About 24 years old this lump came up on his calf. He went to the Dr. And all the bad news a person could hear, he heard. It was Ewing sarcoma a mean one. The first option was amputation, but, some hope was offered with aggressive treatments. This fine young man had decisions to make, and he made them. He fought like a lion, many times, the prognosis was good, but, for not long, another tumor would pop out. His family and friends, the churches were with him. Every person that knew this boy wanted to do something. Cancer is a creature with evil intent. Nobody could take his place. He had it to face. Not so long ago, the treatments had to stop, all that was left was the praying. He lived right up to the very end. This morning the visitors of the unknown came and took this good man away. Lots of empty left for all that needed him and lost him. Hold on to his memory and goodness. No, it is not fair, it is a cruel fate. Be strong, lean on each other. Ryan faced the hardest of days, he faced it with his might. He was prepared as it should be. Good bye buddy!!
