Folks the two Rurouni Kenshin movies, Kyoto Inferno and The Legend Ends, that played here in Hong Kong in September and October respectively are my action movie(s) of the year. Why do I say this? The story, acting, action, and even the musical score in TLE are superb and make it tops in my book. Of course I havent seen The Rise of a Legend yet so well see. The Raid 2: Berendal an Indonesian action film that I saw in the US in May and played in HK in Aug, I believe, was my action movie and is now #2. If you didnt have a chance to see the RK films (Kyoto Inferno is now available on dvd) get them. These films come with my HIGHEST recommendation. The finale in TLE is the best Ive seen in a few years and Ive seen a lot of movies in that time. Rurouni Kenshin is a live action movie based on a cartoon of the same name. The clip here is from KI and, while and extended clip, is unfortunately in Japanese. Dont let that stop you from enjoying it though. Miss this one at your peril folks!
