Folks time to step up to the plate and make ourselves heard... via 350.org Hey Pennsylvania, President Obama and VP Biden are coming to Scranton, PA this Friday, and we are going to be there to greet them with a strong message: Pennsylvania says No Keystone XL and No Fracking! For the last several months, 350.org organizers have met the President everywhere he goes to tell him to keep his climate promises. Now, in Pennsylvaniua, where the fight against fracking is stronger and more vibrant than ever, we have the opportunity to let the President know that fracking and Keystone XL are both climate disasters. This is the first joint appearance the President and Vice-President have made in months, so let’s take this opportunity to make some noise. No Fracking!”- a family friendly rally to demand that President Obama act on his climate promises, reject the Keystone XL pipeline, and stop touting natural gas. Drilling for gas leaks dangerous levels of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas, and what isn’t leaked is burned as CO2, which we already have far too much of. So please, come out on Friday to stand with us and our friends from Food & Water Watch and many other groups to say, “No Keystone XL! No Fracking!” People power is the best tool we have to push back on the corrupt power of the fossil fuel industry.
