Folks, wed like to thank the members of National Citizens Movement-Mayo for their presence at the protest in Sligo tonight. We would however, like to distance our members from the angry and regrettable scene that took place for about 2 mins as Enda Kennys car arrived, and to commend the police for a fair and non-aggressive approach to handling the situation. They did what they were there to do. As we have REPEATEDLY stated previously, our position in protest is *entirely* peaceful, and will never be any other way. With that in mind, I would additionally like to say fair play to all other protesters who turned out tonight peacefully to deliver yet another message to Enda - that he is NOT LISTENING to the people, and the people will be heard.
