Follow the Milk Fridays! Every time a donor mom drops off her milk, we carefully record her donor ID number, last name, oldest date of her milk in the batch, and number of ounces in our logging book. Her donation is then placed in one of our freezers until we are ready to process her milk. On average, it takes about two weeks from the time we receive a donor’s milk until it has been processed, pasteurized, and shipped out to a hospital NICU to help fragile babies in need.
