Follow-up to last weeks post about LOOKING. I think I was wrong. Andrew Haighs WEEKEND was a really great film. His HBO show, now, having seen the second episode -- is not what I had hoped it would be. Part of it is Jonathan Groff -- in the way his character is written, in the way Groff plays him. Do we really need this guy essentially clutching his pearls every time some new controversial subject comes up? There are things I like: the production values, Lauren Weedman & Murray Bartlett.
