Following a conversation yesterday with Robert James Peters and a couple of my housies I decided to do a little research. Fortunately I didnt have to do too much, I am pretty satisfied this article details the theory we came up with. Below in the comments of this post I have copied the coinciding dates of attacks/sightings and arrival/departures of live export ships. Basically, if you cant be bothered clucking the link, there is anecdotal evidence as well as circumstantial evidence to suggest that sharks have cottone on to these boats being moving smorgasbords as they throw hundreds or even thousands of dead or dying sheep overboard. Its quite likely that sharks are escorting the ships back and forth for an easy meal. For my money Ill be staying out of the water while the ships are in town. What will be interesting will be watching this shark tracker app when the ships come in.
