Following a discussion with a fellow Zoroastrian, Afshin, it was pointed out by Afshin that the Zoroastrian religion is truly a religion for intellectuals, for you are in constant struggle to gain wisdom. I couldnt agree more. From this stand point, I would like share some wisdom. For as an economist and social scientist, I know from first hand experience that all personal hypothesis (personal judgements/ ideas/ thoughts) need to be confirmed not only by your own personal experience, or experience of friends, but through more large scale studies, potentially involving hundreds if not thousands of people. Through large scale studies on people, you draw upon statistics, and you can gain more solid probabilities and understanding. This way you can judge whether your own experience of a particular event or circumstance was simply unlucky, or part of a much larger trend, from which you must learn from.
