Following last night’s story about our family aired on NBN News, we have been contacted by many people asking what are Blair’s immediate needs. Here are a list- • RAMPS x 2- -Front door and back door -Blair cannot wheel his own wheelchair outside -Has to be pushed over which is difficult • CONCRETE PATHWAYS- -Access areas currently pebbled -Blair cannot wheel his wheelchair over it -Difficult to push Blair’s wheelchair over • TIMBER FLOORING- -Carpet needed to go as Blair wheels his wheelchair • SLATE FLOORING REMOVED- -Uneven and difficult to push his heavy equipment over -Will be unsafe for Blair when walking after his surgery • BATHROOM MODIFICATIONS- -Make wheelchair accessible -Currently have to lift Blair and commode over hob -Blair cannot use the toilet or bath •WIDEN DOORWAYS IN HOUSE- -To allow for wheelchair access -So that Blair’s Hospital Bed and Hoist can actually fit in his bedroom! • WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VAN- -2nd hand van already purchased by family -Family quoted $30,000.00 to covert -Currently lift Blair’s heavy wheelchair into the back Many people have asked how to donated funds to help with Blair’s needs- Donations can be made through Blairs Wish at- Account Name- Blair’s Wish Bank- National Australia Bank Branch- Westfield Tuggerah BSB- 082 868 Account Number- 197 892 216 We are so humbled by the generosity of the community that we are so used tohelping.
