Following on from the Waitrose moving the cycle racks discussion: Barry Conroy, from Waitrose Executive office, called me on Saturday (after I emailed the board members) and said he would be taking charge. On Monday he and the person responsible for store layout met with the Manager at the Southsea branch. Yesterday they agreed that whilst they couldnt move the bike racks back to where they were, they would pit up bollards to prevent cars accidentally entering the cycle park, put in lighting, cut back the trees and put in a shelter. Barry will be sending me an email to confirm this and when he does I will post it here. Good Waitrose! Prompt, listened to the points, spent some money to meet us halfway (at least!). Personally Ill be very happy to see covered, lit bike parking.
