Following the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. model, I am a firm believer that Pastors should never endorse political candidates. Instead, pastors should endorse ISSUES that are rooted in Biblical principles and hold political candidates. as well as both parties accountable to the issues of concern of the church, based upon Gods mandate for government. Dr. King never endorsed a political candidate or official from either party. He did, however, strongly condemn leaders within both parties for their contributions to social inequality. Pastors today should also be the conscience of the nation rather than the servant of any political party. YOUR views?
