Following the End Hunger Fast by Trussell Trust, Quakers and others, some MPs are conducting an independent inquiry into food poverty and hunger in UK, and looking for submissions particularly from people who: Are experiencing food poverty directly Are helping to run food banks, breakfast clubs, ‘open house’ events or other sources of ‘food aid’ Have expertise on the effectiveness and sustainability of the UK’s food system or how the UK could improve household food security In the run up to the general election in 2015, findings from the inquiry will be used to challenge all political parties about how they will respond to the growth of food poverty and hunger.
