Following the big surprise announcement yesterday about the TM5 - TopicsExpress

Following the big surprise announcement yesterday about the TM5 we, as consultants, were given the choice to order it or not. We needed to decide. What to do? This was completely new information to myself and (as it was being almost simultaneously released around the world) the rest of the consultants in Australia AND NZ! My only clue was at 8.30am when a customer asked me if she could please have the TM 5 she had just seen has been released in Europe...Umm, what TM 5 I replied?! Is it a hoax? You sure you are looking at a real video? Ill have tp get back to you after the meeting I am on my way to, sorry! AWKWARD! Since I was introduced to Thermomix 6 years ago (thanks to a lady whom I consider a life long friend Katrina Brommel - thank you! !), the next model is coming has been a CONSTANT rumor; as it has been for the past 30 or 40 years they have been produced. Why? Its true, thats why! Thermomix is an innovative company, from the day a model is released, they are constantly working on tweaks, adjustments and new functions. Fact: They often make these along the way too, so a TM ordered in January may be ever so slightly different to one you order in February. That is what makes Thermomix so good in the first place! So, back to the dilemma at hand..what to do? You know I love my TM 31 and that is not going to change, no matter how many new models come out over its lifetime, it has been a game changer in our home and will be loved just as TM21 owners continued to love theirs! Plus, Thermomix in Australia will still continue to care for and provide service to us 200,000 TM31 owners! As will I to my customers! They will even still run some TM 31 cooking classes till the end of 2014 whilst also offering TM 5 classes. Wow! I chose to get my TM31 because, at the time, it met my needs...does the TM 5 being released change that? No, my TM 31 is still perfect, still going strong and will do for many years. It not only met my needs, it surpassed my expectations and I, like almost every owner I know, love it more and more the more we use it. We realise it does far more than we ever thought and the more you learn about it the more you integrate it into your everyday cooking! Essentially, the TM 5 is like the second born, (non identical) twin. They are similar in functionality. You can do mostly the same things, they just look a little different, sound different, have different personalities and the younger generation is into technology so can do a couple of new tricks; like read a book with its little recipe chip (yes, there is still gong to be a real cookbook dont worry. ..or was that just me?) which is pretty amazing!! It can even cook a few recipes solo!! I dont want to give too much away though (I still want you to enjoy the surprise at your demos!). However, from what I can tell, I will still be able to take recipes for the TM 5 or TM31 or my normal old cookbooks and interchange or convert them to either machine. Something my husband will be pleased about (already lots of cookbooks in this household). That said, I am super excited to pick up my TM31s little sister later today!! Had the priviledge last night of testing it out in a Melbourne hotel room....gotta say I was dubious but super impressed!! Yes, the decision has been made, it only took me till the end of the sorbet at the meeting! They look a little different but they are both fabulous and I know we are going to love them equally, for different reasons! So, after all that, why did I order the TM 5 if I love the (3) TM 31s I already have? My needs changed and the TM 5 will meet them better. Didnt I just say they were practically twins? How does the new one suit me more? Because, as a consultant in Australia, I am required to have the model we are providing to customers to demonstrate to people and continue being able to share my passion about what Thermomix can do for everyone, young and old; families big and small . Thats my excuse anyway;) Why have I chosen to do that instead of going back to my day job? Because I love it. I love helping you meet your dietary needs, helping you get back to cooking real and exciting food (without much extra effort) and helping you to reduce the financial and emotional stress that a simple meal times can put on you or your family! It just doesnt have to be like that! It can be fast, fun and fabulous! ! The cost of the thermomix, (with all this new technology onboard) is going to rise THIS YEAR but to help ease the transition and (since it is a surprise people were not anticipating or budgeting for) try to make it affordable to Australians, Thermomix have a special introductory price of just $50 more than the TM31 was (for a limited time!!!). Plus, interest free finance is back!! Please feel free to talk to your consultant or me about the differnt options available so we can help you with all the info you need. I will be fully trained tomorrow on TM 5 and ready to show you some of the exciting changes the TM 5 has in store for you! If you, like me, have a TM 31 dont stress, a demo with the TM 5 will still show you how to best use your 31 and still provide you with heaps of tips, tricks and your thermoserver host reward to use your TM31 to the max. Remember, your exsisting consultant is an expert in their TM31 and (if they are continuing like most of us) they are a new, trained, TM5 owner because they, like me, have fallen in love the new kid. We are passionate about continuing to help you get the most out of your investment and love sharing Thermomix with Australia. I cant wait to show you whats in store and continue to help you on your customer journey! Happy Thermomixing, whatever model you have to play with! Amanda In case you were wondering: -Unlike other pieces of technology, like phones, which tend to break after a couple of years and are constantly being replaced, Thermomix only release one every 10 years or so and they last an incredibly long time, you actually get what you pay for! They will only do this when they have something bigish to add or change. With the recent advances in digital technology and wide use of touch screens, this one is 6 years or so apart. -Thermomix are not out to try to make everyone order a new one, they do not stop making software for the previous models, they dont become obsolete, you can still get them serviced, parts replaced, cooking classes and one on one support. -Your consultant will still want to know you! -Australia are honored to be some of the first in the world to be allowed access to the TM 5. Canada and South Africa for example will not be getting it till next year! The price will still not drop on those models btw, Thermomix dont try and run them out cheap because something new is coming. TMs are priced based on the value of that TM. I hope this answers any queries you have. If you do need to talk about this with someone or want to book in your demo, please call me or your consultant, we are here to help !!
