Following the military coup on July 3, 2013 in Egypt, a total of 529 anti-coup persons, declared terrorist by the judiciary, military, police and media, have been sentenced with capital punishment by the junta judges. While the number is expected to reach 1000 in the coming days, it is stated that the execution of the punishments is only a matter of time. This collective capital punishment unparalleled in this day and age, manifestly demonstrates that a crime against humanity is committed before the very eyes of the world. Sadly, this cruel decision has not found much of a place in the media. We, people of conscience, condemn the decision of capital punishment for 529 persons by the military junta in Egypt and hereby call all the world to be the voice of 529 persons. __________________________________________________ Mısır’da 3 Temmuz 2013 tarihinde gerçekleşen darbenin ardından yargının, askerin, polisin ve medyanın “terörist” ilan ettiği, darbe karşıtı 529 insan cunta yargısı tarafından idam cezasına çarptırıldı. Sayının önümüzdeki günlerde 1000e ulaşması beklenirken, verilen kararın uygulanmasının an meselesi olduğu belirtiliyor. Günümüzde örneği görülmemiş bu toplu idam cezası, tüm dünyanın gözü önünde “insanlık suçu” işlenmekte olduğunu açıkça göstermektedir. Ne hazindir ki bu acımasız karar medyada çok yer edinememiştir.
