Following this months committee meeting we just wanted to pass on some notes to club members: Kevin OShaughnessy Some of you will be aware that Kevin was involved in a serious car accident over the Christmas period. We are glad to report that he is out of danger, but has a long recovery ahead of him. He is still not in a position to see visitors. On behalf of the club we wish him a speedy recovery. The goal is to get as many people mountain biking as possible and to assist beginners in improving their bike handling skills. All levels catered for. St Patricks Day Once again we hope to put a float in the St Patricks Day Parade, we want as many people as possible to take part in it. If you have any unusual bikes please feel free to take them along. We somebody willing to loan us a flat bed truck, does anybody have an ideas what we could put on it? IVCA Racing The IVCA (ivca.info/aboutivca.shtml) is currently open for membership but you need to move quickly. To join you must be 40+ for Men or 35+ for Women Social Media There have been a number of incidents in the past where members and non-members have used social media (Facebook) to make personal attacks on other club and committee members. Where people feel they have a genuine grievance there are mechanisms in place to deal with this. Social media is a public forum and is not the discuss these matters. The committee feel in the event of this happening in the future they may be forced to take further action. We would like to remind everybody that we are all volunteers and do what we do for the good of the sport.
