Following up from my earlier update on Caritas work, the Sisters - TopicsExpress

Following up from my earlier update on Caritas work, the Sisters and their team of girls were able to carry out a two days sensitisation to the slum areas of cline town. Raising awareness and educating residents about Ebola, Neighbourhood watch was the theme of todays door to door message with community elders taking part, encouraging everyone to keep an open eye for the signs and symptoms of Ebola. Strangers, it was emphasised should be carefully observed and everyone should be on the alert to help safeguard their families and the community at large. Slum areas are one of the most difficult places to work at household level. Make shift homes, poor sanitation and overcrowding poses some challenges, but more importantly such conditions are perfect for Ebola to thrive. But as difficult as it was, our sisters and team were able to cover these areas and effectively. We thank out sisters for their hard work, hoping these messages will help in stopping the Ebola transmission chain.
