Fondly remembering my friend Michael Grimm. Mike was my friend, my XO, my colleague and my teammate on the 25th CAB Combat Football Team. I remember him as a true warrior but also someone who loved life and enjoyed having a good time. Mike was the recipient of the DSC from his first tour in VN. His aviation career would eventually take him to Ft. Campbell, KY where he was one of the original members of the 160 SOAR. Mike died in a tragic accident 33 years ago while leading his little birds on a night mission along the Cumberland River. Mikes name is among the first on the Night Stalker Memorial.. Rest well Mike.. I miss you.
