Food cost: My challenge to you is starting with today workout how much this week has cost you on food & drink etc. post me your results and we will see what you come up with. I often get the same reaction when I show people my diet I cant afford that, can you do me a diet on a budget or or its not realistic for me to spend that amount of money on food First of all if you can afford to eat bad you can afford to eat good! 2nd of all if you cant prioritise your health & looking good into your weekly cost then cancel you gym membership and go to the pub. Training should always compliment a healthy diet no matter what the goal. This is what Im going to do Im going to work out how much it cost me from Monday-Friday on food: 2 protein shakes a day: cost 50p each x 10 = £5 per week Oats approx £2 for 2kg which we last me about 4 weeks: cost 50p a week Dextrose £8 for 2.5kg: cost at 50g serving a day = 80p per week Chicken breast (Aldi) £6.50 for 1kg: cost per meal divide by 5 = £1.30 per meal, per week £19.50 (3kg, 3 meals a day) 5% beef mince (Aldi): cost £1.59 for 250g. 200g needed per meal, 2 meals a day x 5 days = 2kg of mince. £1.59 x 8 = £12.72 Bag of vegetables = £1 per week BCAA 2 servings a day @ 50p per serving = £5 a week (1 serving would easily flavour 1.5litres of water) Seasonings £1.50 per week if that! Weekly total = £46.02 Daily total = £9.20 Per meal (7meals a day) = £1.31 #this Includes supplements, Fluids & meals So there you have it, £44.52 Mon- Friday on 7 meals per day, and before you say it no I wouldnt expect a your average 9-5 worker to eat 7 times a day and for most people 5 meals a day would be a healthy achievable goal. So it would be even cheaper for you than me!
