Food for thought Or Savannahs 18 hr flight musings Texas is without a doubt one of the most, if not THE most adamant about fighting the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. Texas is also largely Christian. I cant give you a figure, but Id guess like 75%. Im not trying to start a debate or anything (or maybe subconsciously I am so I added this buffer to make me seem like the nice guy either way)..l ...But it seems a little ironic to me. I mean I cant tell you how many times Ive heard or seen people quoting the 2nd amendment or paraphrasing it in some way or another. I CAN tell you how many times Ive heard someone quote Jesus regarding the subject...0 When he was about to be crucified, when he was threatened with violence, what did he say to his apostles who drew their swords to defend him? Those who live by the sword die by the sword Mathew 26:52 Ive lived a lot of my life notorious for sheepishly going a long with the grain of my culture. Whether its ideals my family holds, friends, class mates, whoever. But then I remembered Im not called to adapt to my culture or the environment Im raised in, Im called to represent Christ no matter the setting. Anyway, these are just my unfiltered thoughts today that I kinda felt lie sharing with whoever would listen, or maybe whoever was led to listen. Idk, have a good day now.
