Food for thought. Read this, or dont, either ways fine, just my opinion. We live in a generation where other humans constantly go out of their way to make you feel ashamed of yourself & your life, so they can feel better about themselves. Social media has literally created a monster among people in my age group and younger. Hateful, spiteful things are posted and then when someone is offended the poster replies, its MY Facebook I can post what I want, dont like it? delete me! Does anyone else realize how selfish and childish this sounds? Why would a person WANT to hurt someone elses feelings? Especially someone you grew up with or went to school with, someone in your community, someone who may look up to you! There is really no need to repost that snarky meme about skinny girls vs. curvy girls, or that photo of an aborted fetus, or that rant about folks on welfare..youre not raising awareness for anything, youre being heartless: Someone wakes up in the morning and checks Facebook and is instantly forced to face the very thing they may be haunted by the most: their weight, their past, their future, their rocky relationship, their financial situation, etc. Life is hard enough. What happened to compassion? Were all living here together. Shaming each other is clouding our journey. Can we start looking out for each other instead of competing with each other?
