Food for thought for wrestlers but in reality it can apply to any line of work... Martin Brodeur, who sat unsigned over the summer had to complete a try out before he was signed to the St. Louis Blues. Arguably the greatest goalie of all time had to participate in a try out. Three Stanley Cups, a Calder Cup, and 4 Vezina Trophies... and he had to participate in a try out. Moral of the story, especially in entertainment and athletics, it isnt about what youve accomplished in the past or what you did yesterday, it is about what you can do today and what you can do tomorrow. It is nice to be cute and think loyalty, a long tenure, and past successes go a long way but in the real dog eat dog World youve got to earn your keep and be the best day in and day out. Never get comfortable. No matter how good you have become youll never become too good. Always strive to be better, advance and be the best you can be each and every single day. If you are not, there is a hungry line up of others waiting to eat you up and take that spot.
