Food service employees, especially servers, have one of the most underappreciated jobs. They are underpaid, overworked and overlooked in many cases. In Pennsylvania a tip earner is paid a minimum wage of $2.83 an hour. They survive off of what they make in tips. So it’s completely deplorable that McCoy left twenty cents. It’s easier to say it was bad service than,”I’m a selfish, insulting prick who doesn’t appreciate the people who make my life easier.” Remember when you go out to a restaurant, your servers, busboys, bartenders etc. are doing a job that makes your life more enjoyable. They deserve to be fairly compensated for their hard work. That means you pay them twenty percent NOT McCoy’s selfish .03 percent.
