Foot update. It now has been a little over 48 hours since the ankle break . Amazingly I was able to see ortho doctor Monday. His preference would have been a permanent cast but he gave me a walking boot . I also rented a knee scooter which enables me to scoot around inch better than crutches. I can walk but try to really limit walking in favor of the scooter. Went to several work meetings yesterday and managed also did most of the animal chores but that is slow hard work now. Not much pain but I unusually tired. We are proceeding as if Peru departure is on for next Wednesday. Trying to anticipate how to manage luggage at airport . Have Ortho. Dr appointment on Monday for new X-rays to see if walking boot is working and to ensure that bones are still aligned. If they are I am good to go albeit with some major challenges. If the bones have shifted plans may need to change. Meanwhile new kitten Mr Machu is helping me heal.
