Football Alumni: Im gonna cancel the meeting tomorrow. I believe what we need to discuss for now to get started we can do here on Facebook. First of all Im gonna close the group to invite only so the whole world isnt seeing our posts. Here are the basic details: 1 - Must be an Osage City graduate to play. 2 - $100 to play which includes equipment rental and liability insurance for injuries. 3 - We would need approval from the School and Football program for it to work. 4 - We need to select an approximate date/month we want to play on, but not guaranteed. 5 - Need to decide if we want an inter-squad scrimmage or play another town. If another town then who. 6 - It is competitive. You will get hit. You should plan on conditioning for it. 7 - It is a great fundraising opportunity for the athletic programs. Their must be a commitment to pre-selling tickets because 50% is pure profit to be donated to the athletic programs and 50% goes to Alumni Football USA. All tickets sales purchased the day of the event go to Alumni Football USA. 8 - Concession sales are all profit for the athletic program so it is important to be the host school. 9 - We will have organized practices closer to the event. Id like to suggest starting to play 7on7 on Sunday evenings in the near future to get the offense and defense timing workout some before official practices start. 10 - There are some rules in place to help prevent injury. You can only rush 4. No Blitzing. No crack blocking. No hitting a defenseless player. Etc... That is what I know. What are your thoughts?
