Football is an essentially violent game. Unless you are a quarterback or kicker your job is to focus all your rage into an assault on another person that will take them down. And you are expected to focus that rage over and over again. If I had to do that I think Id need loads of therapy just to feel normal. Id also need lots of role play and conflict resolution practice to avoid switching on that rage when I got riled up. Every time a player is sanctioned or let go as a result of his violence against women people call for action and nothing happens. So, fans and players? What are you going to do to finally force the NFL to change their culture of violence? How can you help these players feel safe off the field? How can you help these players families feel safe all the time? Im not a fan. I have nothing to leverage. You do.
