Footprints in the Ghetto Willie Moore Livingstone my earthly dad - TopicsExpress

Footprints in the Ghetto Willie Moore Livingstone my earthly dad was the first black man in the ghetto to buy and have full ownership of a yellow taxi cab. My Dad hired men to work for him and he became the first black entrepreneur in our block. And he was very protective of his business. At about 2am one morning my Dad yelled for us to get dressed and outside pronto. The yellow cab was now multicolored. All the neighbors’ kids had filled sandwich bags with all color acrylic paint and threw it at my Dads taxi cab. If we had not caught it he could have lost his business. We found out later that our neighbor who was a devout Christian lied to us to cover his son’s part in it. He didn’t know that I saw the footprints of paint going up his front stoop and later that night the dad was out there trying to wipe up the prints. True story!!! For almost 50 years the only memory I ever had of my dad were the abusive ones. This memory was hidden deep and surfaced during my worship time at home. I never felt as proud of him as I do right now. Entrepreneurship runs in the family!!!!
