For 1968, four drivers took turns in the Holman-Moody #11 Ford. Bobby Allison won the season-opening Middle Georgia 300 and finished second at Montgomery. Mario Andretti ran at Riverside and both Daytona races with only a 12th place finish in the Firecracker 400 to show for it. A.J. Foyt stepped in to run the National 500 and finished tenth. Formula One driver Frank Gardner started the American 500 and finished last. Two photos--one is the Mercury Mario drove for the Daytona 500; the other is the Ford version that drove the rest of the season.
