For Friendship When the time comes, That my quill would become impotent Unable to begat the inky semen of truth To break the virgin hymen of posterity Would you scorn me like heat beams from eerie deserts? When the time comes, That my bones would become weak Cracking in ominous grandeur In want of requiems of soothing balms Would you massage my aged muscles of hope? When the time comes, That cyclonic waves of torment Would crave to dine to ravenous stupor By feasting on myraid dreams,untold Would you again knit the blueprint of my tomorrow? When the time comes, That I would give in piously, To the mundane goddess of beut,Aphrodite Defiling decorum in her temple of lust Would you water me to my senses? When the time comes, That the gold of my diligent bidding Would have to be mined copiously At the cornucopia of holy snakes Would you inspire my fear with sermons of trust? When the time comes, That fruitful lands would become barren That thirsty streams would lick empty wells That pains would pity pains plenteous Would I still call you my friend? NOTE: There comes a time in life when it is an aberration not to give, honour to a few A few who carried your naked, crippled and nauseating downfalls Their voices whispered strength and courage during tempestuous times In your blindness they watched your every step making sure your path was deviod of thistles and thorns Your mistakes were their secrets Your wins their victories Your loses their failures They sit beside you in the strategy room helping you draw the blueprint of your dreams They fought with you when you drafted away from the vision Yet still respected you in those days of discord These few have invested in you(although risky) and have gambled on your commitments These few are worth more than rubies and they are your true friends Never discard a true friend for his being can be compensated but his trust might never be regained #Introspect
