For George ON NOVEMBER 24, 1975 The Rutles, enter in our history when today, at Denhams Memorial Hall in Buckinghamshire, being hired by a rate of 6.75 pounds, the group is filmed playing the song of Neil Innes I Must Be Love (youtube/watch?v=297zDxqzUJo)to include in the series of BBC2 Rutland Weekend Television comic. (Innes, obviously, was a member of the band comica-musical of the sixty The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, which recorded Im The Urban Spaceman, which was produced by Paul, using the alias Apollo C. Vermouth.) The three-minute show presented the band doing mimicry in the song, interspersed with scenes filmed in the style of Cant Buy Me Love as they appear in A Hard Days Night. Also tried to Rutland Weekend Television, the clip appears in the U.S. where is broadcast on WNBC (between 11:30 pm and 1:00 am) during the Saturday Night Live on October 2, 1976, in the NBC network. The first transmission in England of the clip is given during the first show of the second series of Rutland Weekend Television, which is broadcast (the 9:01 and 9:29 pm) on November 12, 1976. Incidentally, on the stage, the formation of the Rutles is Dirk, Stig, Nasty & Kevin, with Eric idle in the role of George. (Idle, Paul, Dirk McQuickly, made in the program in 1978, The Rutles).
