For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Every now and then I like to just get down to the basics. What is the basics of Christianity? Is it how we live? Is it how we measure up to the rest of the church people? John 3:16 is probably the hardest thing for Christian and non Christians to grasp hold of. The fact that someone could love me enough that they would die for me. Now that is hard to sink in. We can only relate to what we are use to. I thank God for our brave service men and women that lay down their life for this country, the Bible says in John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. And that is what our military does. But when we think about what Christ did for us, there is nothing in this world that measures up or even come close. Jesus died because of the fact that God so loved the world, that is not just America that means He loves the entire world. And to make it even more awesome Jesus could have backed out anytime, but He didn’t. He knew that He had to die so that we might live. This is the Grace of God and when you can understand that God loves the most dreaded, evil human that ever lived, then you come closer to understanding the Grace of God. It is hard to imagine God sending Jesus knowing what was in store for Him. The pain and suffering Christ went through is unbelievable and He did it willingly. He left the splendor knowing His destiny. And what makes what Christ did for us so amazing, is the fact that He was completely innocent. He lived on this earth sinless. Man put His Son on the cross that is why God is not going to allow people that will not confess their sins or change their way of life enter Heaven. All we have to do is Christ into our heart and He gladly moves right on in. Remember for God so loved us He gave His only son that we might That eternal life for those who ask Christ in their heart. So ask Him believe in Hm and have eternal life with our Lord..
