For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; (Galatians 5:22-23) After we are saved…and through the process of sanctification…we begin to bear more fruit within our lives…as we more clearly and frequently reflect the Light of Jesus into the darkness of this world…it is a life-long process…we will continue to stumble and fall, at times, so we should not become discouraged…for we shall never reach perfection on this side of Eternity…yet once we are glorified…we shall be the perfect reflection…of HIS perfection… We should never become puffed-up with pride over any good that we say or do…any and ALL goodness that proceeds from us…does NOT originate from within us…it is merely a reflection of HIS light…just as when we see the moon…shining light into the darkness of the night…that light does not originate from the moon itself…it simply reflects the light from the sun…similarly, we shine light into the spiritual darkness of the world…when we reflect the Light from The Son… What a magnificent God we have...His love is exquisite and extravagant...He never stops showering us with His lavish gifts...and yearns for only one thing from us...our LOVE...
