For Immediate Release: Brockton, MA woodbooger-demolition-derby Woodbooger Demolition Derby rocks the Northeast with major payout announcement! Brockton, MA (November 7, 2013) Independence week In New England just got hotter as Brockton Fair has teamed up with Woodbooger Demolition Derby and the one-two punch of Smashed Empire Media and SB Motorsports Announcing to promote an even bigger Northeast Championship. Already one of the best paying events this side of the Mississippi, Woodbooger Demolition Derby and the Brockton Fair have raised the bar once again, announcing an unprecedented $7,500.00 top prize for the 2014 event. Brocktons third-annual North East Championships runs in conjunction with the week-long fair, with qualifying derby heats and Redneck Racing events each transferring drivers to the Northeast Championship feature on July 6, 2014. Preliminary events will be held on June 28 and 29, with Championship Weekend scheduled for July 4-6, 2014. While all events qualify drivers for the Championship Feature, July 4th promises to be a night to remember. A special Independence Day Feature awaits, paying $1,000 to the winner in addition to granting the top four drivers admission to Sundays premier championship round. The event will be a full program with a series of qualifying heats feeding into the Friday night feature. Brockton is known for its competitive locals that on any night can be victorious, but they are always looking for a new challenge! We love our locals, said Eileen Mann of Woodbooger Demolition Derby, but in order for this to be a true Northeast Championship, we want to welcome drivers from all over the Northeast! In 2013 we hosted drivers from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachussetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and even Ohio, but wed love to see drivers from Vermont, New York, and Pennsylvania in the mix! We hope the higher payout entices them to make the trip! A fresh car Championship Feature field of 30 All Star competitors ensures that the Champion will have earned the bragging rights that come with being the Northeast Champion,not to mention the heavy first place prize money, and giant handmade trophy!
