For Immediate Release, January 8, 2015 WASHINGTON— The Center for Biological Diversity sued the federal government today for failing to release public documents revealing the extent and risks of offshore fracking in the Gulf of Mexico. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Washington, D.C., argues that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement must disclose permits, reports, emails and other documents related to the federal government’s approval for oil and gas companies to frack offshore wells in the Gulf. biologicaldiversity.org/news/press_releases/2015/fracking-01-08-2015.html
