:For Immediate Release June 5, 2014 Two Arrested in Residential Marijuana Grow Operation in Tracy Contact: Sergeant Ryan Knight (209) 831-6597 Tracy, Calif. – The Tracy Police Department served a search warrant in the 700 block of Weeping Willow Lane on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at approximately 4:00 p.m. The warrant resulted in the arrest of Guo Wu, 47, of Tracy and Jian Long, 44, of New York. Wu and Long were suspects in an investigation related to marijuana cultivation and utility theft in Tracy. The street value of the marijuana cultivated is approximately $1-million and the utility theft loss is estimated at $37,000. Wu and Long were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for charges of cultivation of marijuana, theft of utilities, and possession of marijuana for sales. Their current bail is listed at $120,000. Residential marijuana operations present a high danger of fire both to the grow location and the surrounding residences. Exposed wiring and high temperature lights are some of the hazards routinely found in homes that have been converted into grow areas.
