For Immediate release: Archer Racing will add 2013 SCCA Mark Donahue Drivers Award winner, Lawrence Loshak, to their Trans Am Series TA2 class driver lineup when the tour visits Mid Ohio Sportscar Course on August 16, 2014. With Loshak, Archer will again field four TA2 Class Camaros. Loshak will be driving the #42 ETE Reman Chevy Camaro at Mid Ohio in his Trans AM Series debut. Though this will be his first Trans Am race, he brings with him significant racing experience. In addition to scoring the Donahue Award, Loshak has won four SCCA National Championships racing in multiple classes in a racing career that started in 1998. Loshak is from Milwaukee, WI and getting his feet wet in what has become Trans Ams most competitive class with the idea to compete full time and for a championship in 2015. Loshak’s sponsor, ETE REMAN, is a Remanufacturer of Transmissions and Transfer Cases for Domestic, Foreign, High Performance, and Exotic Cars and Trucks located in Milwaukee, WI. Archers three regular racers stand 9th, 11th and 12th in the TA2 championship standings lead by #49 Nathan Stokey. Stokey has the teams best finish of the season to date, a 4th place finish at Road Atlanta. Team Manager John Archer said, Road Atlanta was our best event of the first half of the season. At Road America, the team continued to develop their new cars. Archer Racing and its three full time drivers are seeing progress, but seat time has been hard to come by. The team has raced the three primary cars only four times and those four times are the only times the drivers have gotten in the cars. Its hard when you only race every 4 or 6 weeks. You get in a groove and your confidence up and the weekend is over., Archer driver Frank Lussuer of Cary, NC says. The car has been harder and taken longer than expected to get sorted out., said Lussier. That the class fields are so deep and the competition so strong only makes it harder.. There are very good drivers in the TA2 class. Great competition. Lussier finished a team best 6th at the series last race, at Wisconsins Road America. Archers 3rd full time driver is David Mazyck of Gainesville, Fl with one top 10 finish in the first half of the season. See all four Archer Racing TA2 Chevy Camaros at Mid Ohio Sportscar Course starting with official practice on Friday August 15th. The entry list is bulging toward 60 cars and is very likely to be the largest Trans Am field of the year. The race will be run on Saturday August 16th. The race will be televised on MAVTV. See GoTransAm for viewing times. That promises to make Lawrence Loshaks Trans Am Series opening one to remember for a long time to come, archerracing/ loshakracing/ etereman/
