Monser “for the discoveries of cells that constitute a positioning system in the brain.” For Physics: Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano, Shuji Nakamura Prize Share - 1/3 They were jointly awarded the prize for the invention of efficient blue light-emitting diodes which has enabled bright and energy- saving white light sources.” For Chemistry: Eric Betzig, Stefan W. Hell, William E. Moerner Prize Share - 1/3 The Nobel Prize was awarded to them “for the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy”
