For My Conservative friends that keep talking about no speaking of God in school and and no pledge and all the rest. My son gave a presentation to his class about his hero Jim Kelly former Buffalo Bills QB. He made visual aids and spoke about why he so admires Jim Kelly. He spoke of his devotion to his family and how he mentors young kids to follow the right path and that you are who you hang out with. He spoke about Jims all in approach to everything he does including his Christian faith. He spoke at length about how Jim relies on the strength of his God to carry him through his battle with cancer. He had references to this on his poster he made. A poster which hung on the hallway hall outside his classroom for more than a week for all to see and and read. No teacher edited it, no principle asked that it be taken down and he got an A for his project. He also said the pledge that morning with the phrase one nation under God and has every day since he first learned the pledge. So consider that the next time you read or worse yet share one of these mass posting about no talk of God anywhere in a school and how the pledge is being banned.
