For Nietzsche, philosophy and poetry seem to be collapsed into each other, which is one reason I think that Nietzsche is more of a sophist than a philosopher, a sophist in the tradition of Callicles (from Platos Gorgias), a sophist who surpasses the wildest dreams of Callicles. Nietzsche seems to represent the most powerful critique of philosophy - as it was understood by Plato - to date. One might call his moment in time - which casts its shadow over us today - the revenge of Callicles.
