For: Project Manager Location: Ashford, Kent Salary: 28-32k Ref: VR/01117J Job Description Our client seeks an experienced Project Manager to work on exciting new customer projects implementing their solutions into Tier1/2 retailers as part of a Managed Service offering. Required Experience:- • Prince2 qualified or equivalent • Strong technical background • Methodical and structured approach • History of successful complex implementation projects • Gravitas to manage high visibility mission critical projects with Tier1/2 Retailers This is a high profile role managing key customer projects as part of the Professional Services team. The role requires handling multiple simultaneous projects and as the company expands its managed service offering into all its global regions this will include the involvement in customer projects in all parts of the world. Environment and Background The service team consists of two groups - project managers and technical services [installation engineers]. The installation engineers provide technical expertise on the technologies and products involved but the project manager is expected to have sufficient technical background to be able to verify activities and provide a no shocks environment. While not all components in such solution are provided by us, we are expected to have sufficient knowledge of third party components to lead to effective controlled delivery. Particularly important are the activities surrounding the accreditation of solutions with acquirers. Specific Responsibilities Support for pre-sale activities • Contribution to RFP • Contribution to scoping exercises • Preliminary WBS and estimates Management of customer and internal projects • Review of contracts (for awareness) • Completion of SDD (project scope document) • Production of final WBS and estimates • Work on product deployment configurations • Scheduling and verification of engineering support for implementations • Management of build test activities • Management of accreditation exercises • Support of UAT activities • Conduct stage progress reviews and produce minutes Liaison with Development teams • Clear statement of new requirements • Collation of information on problems Financial • Conformance to internal compliance processes • Cost tracking and reporting against agreed POs • Weekly delivery of cost to completion reporting to customers • Monthly submission of invoice information Reporting • Support of weekly internal reporting cycle • Delivery of progress minutes to customers
