For Sale 1996 Ford Falcon XH Ute $5000ono Can bring to adelaide for serious buyers Price dropped- keen to sell Up for sale is my xh ute - has been my ongoing project/pride and joy for the last 4 years, but now due to starting a family it’s time to move on… Features at a glance – details below: • 5 speed manual • lowered • rebuilt motor • Dual fuel • Cruise control • Hard lid • Big audio • Resprayed • Brand new tyres Purchased in 2010 from a local, the ute was previously owned by an insurance company – so the ute has not really been a “workhorse” as such, I am the the third owner from new, so know the history! In 2011 the original EL motor blew a head gasket, so an AU series 2 motor was purchased, stripped down, new rings on the pistons, bores honed out, new big end bearings, the head was pressure checked, shaved back to increase compression, and a mild port and polish done, we fitted a stage 2 crow cam, and heavy duty lifters. The only modification to fit the new motor was the sump had to be cut and rewelded to fit over the crossmember. Also purchased a J3 computer chip to override factory ECU settings, fitted it, but then took it out, as the ute went pretty good, and to get the best results need to be dynoed and tuned. As it stands today the ute has the following: Rebuilt motor approx. 50,000km ago. Pacemaker tuned extractors running to a 3” flange, 3” hi-flow cat converter, running through a 2.5” system with one hi-flow muffler (sounds great!) Approx $4,000 spent on sound deadening through the cab, floor and firewall, and a combination pioneer head unit and soundstream stereo set up, 4 guage wiring through to 2 amps, running 4 speakers, and a single sub wich has been flush mounted into the rear firewall behind drivers seat – it pumps! Halfway through last year (2014) it got resprayed – put a new tailgate with no holes, had the tonneau strap holders around the ute filled and smoothed, the door pillars and surrounds painted in gloss black, and the rest of the ute resprayed its original white, but with a faint blue pearl in the clear – looks clean and smooth! Ute is professionally lowered, with king springs in the front, the rear leafs re-rolled/reset to their lowest, plus 1” lowering blocks to level it up – sits on CSA gladiator 18x8 alloy mags, (proper pre-au, no spacers!) HID conversion front lights, 35w low beam, 100w high beam (invisible spotlights...) Aftermarket smoked taillights Overall presents as a neat and tidy example of an xh, great performance and handling, with the bonus of a 90L LPG tank in the tub, which makes it quite economical to run. Has cruise control, tinted windows etc… There are a couple of minor faults, but nothing which you would not expect from a car 15+ years old. If sold for right price can also include a colour coded fibreglass canopy.
