For Sat., Dec. 20, (and probably TUES. Dec. 23 (instead of Thurs.), veggie shares, we expect: (all organic unless noted otherwise) LOCAL celeriac (a fabulous root vegetable eaten raw, as in the original Waldorf salad, or steamed and mashed with potatoes, or added to soups,) Ecologically Grown Jonagold apples, CAN Brussels sprouts (we buy from this farmer every year, and we got a super duper price, about half of the current wholesale price!), VA tomatoes, NC sweet potatoes, CA broccoli, carrots, collard greens, red leaf lettuce hearts, Ecuadorian bananas, a Costa Rican pineapple (IF we can get them; if not, we will get CA Navel oranges instead), and kiwi fruit from Italy. Please tell your coordinator immediately if you have any quality problems! A picture helps us see what the problem is. By law, we only have 24 hours to get supplier credits.
