For Sgt. William Bullock, what shouldve been a happy homecoming -- he was visiting his wife and newborn baby in Central, South Carolina for the holidays -- turned into a nightmare when he claimed the landlord kicked him out of the apartment for overstaying. Bullock, who is stationed in Missouri, hadnt seen his wife, Lily, in six months and was meeting their 2-week-old baby girl for the first time. But after a week, the landlord told him he had to leave because -- citing a provision of the contract Lily signed-- visitors can’t stay there past seven days. “If I don’t vacate the premises, he’s going to tow my vehicle and then press charges against me for criminal trespassing and then double charge rent,” the soldier said. “He didn’t care about our situation, he didn’t care about me being in the military.
