For You - Joshua Phair 3/25/2014 For my nation, my God, my honor, For my faith, or for my wife, For my family, the sick, the hungry, the poor, Or to save another mans life. I always moved forward, not finding my purpose, powerless as I moved without course, As I have forgotten to take care of my one true ally, And found myself disconnected from source. We do this for those, and that for these, some here, some there, and everyone else. And forget the second part of Great Commandment number 2, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, as THYSELF. We wish to empower the world, Yet like the books that sit on our shelves, How can we truly be empowering others, Without first empowering ourselves? We give food to the hungry, and alms for the poor, Clothes to the naked and the weak we protect, But we loose some great power when the income we create, doesnt cover expenses and debts. So much power lost, so much potential undiscovered, Unable to fulfill our legacy divine, And unless we begin ourselves to accept, love, and cherish, I fear we will run out of time. So go build your dreams, but take some time, To rethink the reasons you claim as your drive, For until you are also thinking of you, your purpose can never fully thrive. For the world, your God, your honor, the poor The hungry, sick, weary, and your family too, But just as importantly, but most often forgot, Dont forget to do it... for YOU... I love you all. I am glad for the thought of you. May you be blessed today with the worthy desires of your heart. May you find joy and the ability to love yourself. May you find power in the talents so craftily hidden. May you come to the realization that you are worth it and everything you need is already within you. He designed you that way.
