For Your Musical Edification: Adagio for Strings, written in 1936 by American composer Samuel Barber. Performed here by the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Leonard Slatkin, in the days following the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Low Reeds and Tubas, listen for the cellos and basses (theyre the big, low-sounding ones...) - This is the tone color we are looking for outside. Drum Majors - Watch the conductor. He definitely becomes the music. Let me know what you think. https://youtube/watch?v=sftaC0yC714
