For a few people, religion seems to be mainly about whats in it for me. I agree, this is off-center, but some of the poets who wrote psalms are also in this group. Not flawless people. Ouch. Fact, some people are not advanced in their spiritual growth trajectory. So, God bless them with additional insight. Yes, it would be good for all of us to grow. By the way, I like the emphasis that God supplies our every need. One other thought. To some extent, I want to quit evaluating people as their spirituality and also their sophistication as to proper worship insights and habits. Certain believers love to give tests: how good are you. It gets their pious-adrenaline going, but a little of this goes a long way. I often think of our Lords teaching: the humble sinner is better off spiritually than a know-it-all (see Luke 18:9f).
