For a friend whos going into surgery tomorrow. Thank you for liking my poetry. Do not trouble yourself about tomorrow We can only weep for today Tomorrow is a beacon lighting the horizon Promising another way We stand at the threshold of thought Wondering if its too much To ask the Lord for the soulful cry That will be heard in the bye and bye But can he relinquish up today The prayer that we all kneel down to pray Can we not be so troubled by the hurt Or by the lies we told from birth Can he wipe for us a new and clean slate Lord please dont let it be to late I close my eyes in faith and zeal Praying Lord that I may be healed I close my eyes in faith not sight To find you where your glorious might Will awaken me to a better day All because I trust and I prayed Please keep in touch and let me know how things went. Ill be praying for you.
