For a long time scientists believed the Grand Canyon was carved - TopicsExpress

For a long time scientists believed the Grand Canyon was carved out slowly over millions of years. Scientists also thought that the canyon had finished forming around 1.2 million years ago. But newer research has turned both theories upside down. Geologists now think that the Grand Canyon grew in quick, violent spurts from massive flooding of the Colorado River. Scientists are now also second-guessing the Grand Canyons age. They think parts of the canyon are only 750,000 years old - a baby, geologically speaking - and in some places it may still be growing. ===================================================== - “Baby Grand” (2003), National Geographic Kids, p. 7, March. Translation: The Grand Canyon DID NOT form over millions of years through slow, gradual processes like the textbooks teach. It formed rapidly and catastrophically in the recent past - exactly as creationists (and the Bible) have been saying all along. https://youtube/watch?v=4bqwfW-hQU4
