For a moment, I had the urge to go back in time to 1977 when I was 5, and all 8 of us children were scattered around the den during family devotions. It was the day Elvis died. I remember one thing my dad said that night. Children, You cant take money with you when you go, and you cant buy your way into Heaven. I wondered what Elvis would have done differently if anything. I wondered why that made me feel uncomfortable, but, even at 5, I knew what Dad was saying. Then, I met a banker in Tennessee in my 30s who told me of a man of great wealth, who, on his death bed advised him, Remember whats important in life, son. I have worked my life away to become this man of power and wealth; and I would give every penny I have to go back in time and spend more of my days with my family. #priorities
